What does the Christian perspective mean here?
Every person’s dignity is regarded as intrinsic and non-negotiable. Christian mental health counseling uses professional mental health knowledge to support reflection on emotions, relationships, life decisions and personal difficulties.
Questions of faith are included only to the extent that they are meaningful and welcome to you. This is not proselytising, and it is not a substitute for spiritual direction or sacramental life.
Christ-centered counseling
The expression Christ-centered counseling may describe the orientation of the work when the client wishes to explore life in the light of Christian faith. At the same time, your conscience, convictions and freedom remain respected throughout the process.
How do the conversations work?
We begin with the question you bring. Together we explore your situation, emotions, resources and possible next steps. Professional boundaries remain clear, and referral is indicated when another form of care would be more appropriate.
When may it be helpful?
During periods of self-reflection, anxiety, loss, relationship or family strain, burnout, or times of moral, existential or faith-related searching.
This is mental health and life counseling, not psychotherapy and not an emergency service.
